Cezara Panait is the Head of Digital Policy at the Europuls – Centre of European Expertise think tank, where she is leading the research and policy activity on emerging technologies, including automation, artificial intelligence and digital platforms.
She frequently publishes articles and moderates high-level debates with policy-makers on these topics. Cezara graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest and holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights Law from the Central European University.
Previously, she won international awards for developing policy proposals on AI ethics, online content regulation and data protection in competitions organized by Microsoft Brussels, the Internet Generation Forum at the ITU Telecom World, or academic forums.
Cezara is an Aspen NextGen Transatlantic Fellow and she is a member of the communities Leaders for Justice Romania, Aspen Institute Romania, and ICANN NextGen. Through her activities, she wants to contribute to strengthening an open and transparent debate framework between all actors involved in the decision-making process.
